This holiday home is used as a Book a Bach (rental property) and has recently been extensively renovated, including a new deck in Vulcan timber decking by Abodo.

Vulcan Decking was chosen as a local sustainable timber decking option that will perform the test of time. The timber is harvested from Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) certified, rapidly renewable pine plantations, located in the greater Rotorua region.

Instead of using traditional chemical processes, Vulcan Decking is treated with heat and steam followed by a wax based preservative – so it’s free from arsenic and heavy metals making it safer for people and the environment.

The homeowners chose an uncoated finish, to blend beautifully into the lakeside views and natural native bush surrounding the home.
